PAIMERBETT is operated by Paimer Bookmaking Pty Ltd (ABN 89 154 794 411), licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW under wagering licence 5521/2023/WB. Protecting minors is a core licence obligation and we take it seriously.
1. The law
The minimum gambling age in Australia is 18. Under the Betting & Racing Act 1998 (NSW) and our licence conditions, it is an offence for a person under 18 to bet and for us to knowingly accept a bet from, or open an account for, a minor.
2. How we verify age
We verify that every customer is 18 or over before they can bet. We collect your date of birth at registration and confirm your identity and age in line with our AML/CTF & identity verification process. We may request proof of age at any time, and may withhold betting and withdrawals until age is confirmed. An 18+ age check also appears when you first visit the site.
3. If we detect a minor
If we have reason to believe an account holder is under 18, we suspend the account immediately and investigate. If a person is confirmed to be under 18:
- The account is closed immediately.
- All deposits are returned to the original payment source.
- Any winnings are forfeited and not paid out.
- A permanent block is applied to the identity until the person turns 18.
- We notify Liquor & Gaming NSW as required under our licence conditions.
- Where there is evidence an adult facilitated the underage account, we may notify NSW Police.
We handle any personal information involved in line with our Privacy Policy.
4. We don't market to minors
Our advertising is directed only at adults, carries an 18+ symbol and the mandated responsible-gambling messaging, and is never designed to appeal to children. See our Responsible Gambling Policy and Promotional Terms.
5. Advice for parents & guardians
- Keep your account login, payment cards and devices secure and out of reach of children.
- Do not let a minor use your account or watch you bet.
- Use password protection and content filters on shared devices.
6. Free & paid filtering tools
Parental-control and filtering software can block gambling content on home devices, for example:
These are independent third-party tools; we provide the references for convenience and do not endorse or control them.
Online safety for children is also supported by the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth), administered by the eSafety Commissioner (esafety.gov.au), which provides resources and tools to help keep young people safe online.
7. Report a concern
If you believe a minor is using our service, please tell us immediately at support@paimerbett.com. For gambling-harm support, call 1800 858 858 or visit gamblinghelponline.org.au.
